Paris

I had a surprise trip to Paris. I was flying through Charles de Gaulle airport, but it was supposed to be a two hour layover. Between delays in the US and delays on getting to the gate, I only had 30 minutes to clear customs and immigration, I convinced the airline to book me on a flight 13 hours later than my original flight.

Meeting Notre Dame again, but alas this time after it was nearly destroyed in a fire.

How far away I am from St. Louis, yet still so close.

I see London. I see France. Oh wait, I see the Musée d'Orsay and the Eiffel Tower.

I guess I got to at least see what was left of the 2024 Paris Olympics (plus the Place de la Concorde and Arc de Triomphe).

And to think only a month ago, this whole area was filled with Olympians from around the world.
