In April of 2024, I drove about two hours south of home to view the solar eclipse in its totality. The return trip took nearly four hours due to traffic, but it was well worth it.

I had a surprise trip to Paris. I was flying through Charles de Gaulle airport, but it was supposed to be a two hour layover. Between delays in the US and delays on getting to the gate, I only had 30 minutes to clear customs and immigration, I convinced the airline to book me on a flight 13 hours later than my original flight.

I spent about a week in Vienna, Austria, but it was split in half. The first half was directly after Paris, France and the last half was my days in Europe before I flew back home. It rained the entire first half but was beautiful the second half.

I had a short layover in Copenhagen, Denmark between Iceland and Munich. I was able to meet up with a second group of friends and not only visit Oktoberfest for the first time, but also visit more of Munich than my previous visits.
